Services

To ensure that our patients receive the most comprehensive and effective treatment, we take the proper amount of time and use the following approach to customize treatment for each individual.

Obtain a thorough Medical History-- There are so many medical conditions and medications which can have an influence on your dental health and our delivery of care to you.  We want to be certain that the care we provide to you is as Safe and Effective as possible.

Listen to each patient--Our initial priority is to sit down with you and make sure we understand all your concerns, needs and desires as they relate to your dental health and the look of your smile.

Discuss Treatment Options—To be sure you fully understand all of your options, we take time to educate you on the treatment alternatives appropriate to your specific needs.

Intraoral Camera-- In order to help you better understand your treatment needs, we use an intraoral camera to give you a close-up view of your teeth through moving and still videos and photos.  This information is also valuable in showing your insurer the need for your treatment.

Before & After Photos-- For patients contemplating cosmetic treatment, we review photos of other patients we have treated who had similar problems. This gives our patients a better understanding of the wonderful, smile enhancing procedures we are experienced to perform with such life-like results.

State-of-the-Art Computer System-- We utilize the most advanced computer software available in the dental profession.  This allows us to chart virtually every aspect of your previous care and current dental needs.

Your Comfort -- Our goal is to make your visit as pleasant as possible, Each of our treatment rooms is equipped with ceiling mounted TV’s, DVD’s, videos, earphones, blankets and neck pillows. Most important, though, our doctor and staff are sensitive to making sure you're comfortable at all times.

Treatment Goal: Healthy Teeth Which Look Naturally Beautiful--Our mission with every treatment, be it preventive, general or cosmetic treatment, is to utilize the latest proven technology and materials to assure your teeth and gums are as healthy and beautiful as possible.

Veneers: Porcelain Laminate Veneers are literally a thin "shell covering" placed over the teeth to enhance or correct their appearance. Whether to close gaps and spaces, increase size, change shape, change color or straighten the teeth, veneers are one of the most exciting procedures we provide. With extensive experience and a true love for this type of work, we not only change peoples' smiles; our patients repeatedly tell us that we change their lives.

Diagonostics We take the necessary time to thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition. This ensures that we explore all of the treatment options which are available to you.  We use the appropriate diagnostic tools such as X-rays, models, photographs, visual examination, full periodontal exam, oral cancer screening, skin cancer screening and esthetic evaluations. Our goal is to give our patients the necessary information and education so that they may enjoy a radiant, healthy smile for years to come.

Bonding: Composite resin bonding is used to repair fractures as well as to laminate (or cover) teeth to enhance appearance. These procedures are usually accomplished in one appointment and rarely require anesthetic.  Such an immediate result is thrilling for the patient and very gratifying to my staff and me.

Dental Cleanings and Periodontal Care: All of us at CDNT believe a good foundation is the key to optimal oral health, therefore, our periodontal care for you is of utmost priority. Dr. Jopling and our highly trained Hygienists (Allison and Courtney) customize cleanings to properly care for your specific periodontal (gums & bone) needs. Whether it’s a six-month checkup or full periodontal therapy, Courtney and Allison will always strive to provide the very best treatment while maintaining your absolute comfort.  They have the latest high-tech equipment at their disposal.  They will frequently use a Piezo Ultrasonic Scaler which is very comfortable for the patient while receiving hygiene services. We also have ceiling mounted televisions, so you might even decide to watch a movie or an educational dental video during you visit! Give it a try, we know you'll like it as so many others have!

Crowns: Crowns (also known as caps) are used to restore both anterior and posterior teeth that have been broken or are at high risk of doing so due to over-sized old fillings or fractures. There are a variety of materials used to construct these and by working with the finest laboratories in the country we are pleased to produce crowns that look and feel like your real teeth.  I have devoted myself professionally to understanding the qualities and characteristics of the modern All-Ceramic Crown materials.

Fillings: Modern dentistry has brought us beautiful life-like materials and methods. By combining these materials with our commitment to enhancing our skills through continuing education, we are able to create sensational restorations while strengthening the teeth. It is truly rewarding to return teeth so closely to their original strength and appearance with composite resins and ceramics. Since patient comfort is top priority, our clinical staff and doctors go the extra mile to make visiting the dentist a whole new, positive experience. We offer movies, music and most importantly good, old-fashioned, gentle care.

Bridges:

Bridges are fixed, or non-removable prosthesis constructed to replace one or more missing teeth. The teeth on either side of the existing space are used to anchor the bridge to restore functionality as well as esthetics. We are now able to construct beautiful porcelain over metal as well as full porcelain and resin-based bridges to produce the best results for each particular situation.

Implants: This is a wonderful procedure to replace a single missing tooth or many missing teeth.  Even patients who have lost all of their teeth can use implants to hold Bridgework or Dentures firmly in place.  Implants are made of titanium (the same metal used in knee and hip joint replacement). The titanium integrates with the bone and replaces the root portion of the tooth or teeth which were lost. A prosthetic tooth is then made, and it is secured to the implant.  The results are so lifelike it is amazing.

Mouthguards:   Many people do not realize the danger of many recreational sports until an unfortunate accident occurs.  Some of the most damaging are Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, and Skiing because people don’t think they need a mouthguard while participating.  This is heartbreaking for us because we have had patients break or lose teeth while playing each of these sports.  Please reevaluate the activities you and your children participate in and protect yourselves properly.

Nightguards:   Many adults clinch and grind (Brux) their teeth and are not aware they have this damaging condition.  This is because Bruxism occurs mostly during sleep.  The damage to the teeth, muscles and jaw joints can be quite significant.  The stresses of work, and the fast pace of life that many find themselves in are major contributors to this condition.  While we have had to perform crown procedures on many teeth which have fractured from Bruxism, we have likewise protected many patients from further tooth damage and TMJ problems by fitting them with a Nightguard.  This appliance distributes the clinching forces evenly over the entire set of teeth essentially acting like a shock absorber for the teeth, the muscles of mastication and TMJ.

Dentures:  Dentures, whether full or partial, are a removable solution for replacement of several or all teeth. This is the treatment of choice when there is unavailable or insufficient support for a fixed (cemented) bridge. We pride ourselves in creating natural looking new smiles for so many who never expected to smile like themselves again.
